You Are What You Think – Use That Power!

Dr. Beth Brady • November 15, 2021

The human brain has over 60,000 thoughts per day.

Each of these thoughts has the potential to generate a feeling. Half of these feelings will be positive and will generate positive actions that determine positive results. Half of these feelings will be negative, generating negative actions with negative results.

Life is 50/50 positive/negative, and that is important – we need to feel the downs in order to appreciate and relish the ups. We can manage our feelings by becoming aware of the thoughts that generate the feelings – and choose to think differently. This is the key to having anything you want – it’s mind-blowing.

Have you ever tried to NOT think something? Impossible. So how can you change the feeling that comes from a thought that you don’t want to think? Consider this – rather than resist a feeling from that thought, sit with it. Feel the location, intensity, color, shape, motion in your body that you feel as a result of that thought. Experience that feeling in your body, and something amazing happens. It starts to lessen and go away. Feelings cannot physically hurt you. The worst that can happen  is that you feel a negative emotion and you sit with it while it fades. It may be back, and if so, sit with it some more. It will go away, and so will the power of your negative thought.

This is the key to permanent weight loss and the happiest life you can ever imagine. You hold the key, and together we can unlock and open the door to your future fabulous life.
